Company History

Dave Bugni Auction Company began in 1985 when Dave graduated from Reppert School of Auctioneering, which was then located in Decatur, Indiana. His graduation culminated in being presented a key to the city of Decatur from its mayor. Dave returned to his home in Hemlock, Michigan, and began his auctioneering career working for an auction house performing consignment sales. Dave Bugni Auction Company grew when Dave’s son, Victor, graduated from Reppert in 1997.

Dave took the company in a slightly different direction in 1987, when he drew on over 40 years of his experience in commercial refrigeration as owner of Schroeder Store Fixtures, LLC. His auctioneering business specialized in commercial auctions for grocery stores, convenience stores, gas stations, bakeries, and restaurants throughout Michigan. Dave has been performing commercial auctions for over 20 years. He is able to offer expertise gained from his years of experience and his extensive knowledge of retail businesses, along with his auctioneering services. Dave is available to assist with both opening and closing a store and both the purchase and sale of equipment.

Both Dave and Victor are registered with the State of Michigan.
